SWIR stands for Short-Wave Infrared. Its wavelength is longer than that of visible light and cannot be directly perceived by the human eye. The infrared band is divided into multiple segments, among which the visible + shortwave infrared band usually refers to the wavelength range between 400nm and 1700nm. SWIR technology is characterized by good penetration in some wavebands and the ability to detect some characteristics that are difficult to observe in other wavebands, so it has its unique advantages in specific applications.
